Technical Buyer

Are you a proactive, analytical professional with a passion for technical sourcing and supplier development? Connect Group is looking for a proactive, communicative, and persuasive Technical Buyer who is passionate about technical sourcing and supplier development. In this role, you will take ownership of sourcing activities, actively contribute to supplier and cost optimization strategies, and play a key part in supporting new projects.

• Participate in project kick-off meetings with Sales and Costing teams 
• Send RFQs and evaluate supplier technical capabilities and costs 
• Analyze raw material costs and identify optimization opportunities 
• Build and maintain supplier database based on technical capabilities 
• Support supplier onboarding and technical validation (FAI) 
• Align with Logistics on engineering changes impacting cost or supply 
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options 
• Support supplier base development (cost, quality, capacity) 
• Perform supplier risk assessments and define mitigation actions
• Develop market and cost structure knowledge for materials and suppliers 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical field, or related area, or proven experience in technical sourcing

Experience: Experience in technical purchasing, supplier management, or raw materials sourcing

Skills:

• Technical and cost analysis abilities (understanding of manufacturing processes and technical specifications)
• Supplier evaluation and risk assessment skills
• Good communication and alignment with cross-functional teams
• Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Market understanding from technical capabilities perspective

Languages: 

• Local language – Proficient
• English – Proficient
• Additional languages – a plus!
