In an exclusive interview with EMSNow, Connect Group CEO Jeroen Tuik shares key insights into the company’s expansion into the U.S. and the strategy behind its new facility in Atlanta, Georgia.

Watch the full interview below to hear directly from Mr. Tuik about these strategic developments.

The conversation highlights how the Atlanta site represents more than just a new location—it is a decisive step toward agile, regionally optimized manufacturing across the Americas.

With almost 40 years of experience and an annual revenue surpassing €400 million, Connect Group is strategically responding to growing customer demand for localized, flexible solutions while balancing cost and compliance.

“It wasn’t a question of if we would go to the U.S., but when,” said Jeroen Tuik during the EMSNow interview. “Atlanta is not the final destination — it’s the starting point.”

A Hybrid Manufacturing Model for the Modern Era

The new Atlanta site complements our established high-volume electronics production in Guadalajara, Mexico, enabling a hybrid model that combines cost-effective manufacturing with local assembly and after-sales services in the U.S. This approach optimizes supply chain resilience and regulatory compliance, including adherence to the Buy American Act and USMCA.

Why Atlanta? A Strategic Hub

Georgia offers world-class infrastructure, skilled labor, and a strategic location with strong logistics links to Mexico and key customer headquarters. The facility is scheduled for full operation by Q4 2025, beginning with assembly and module building before potentially expanding electronics manufacturing locally based on market demand.

What This Means for Clients

Connect Group USA brings faster lead times, reduced tariffs, enhanced supply chain transparency, and the ability to rapidly respond to evolving customer needs — all essential in today’s complex global environment.

The EMSNow interview offers a clear glimpse into Connect Group’s forward-thinking vision: leveraging digital transformation, data-driven insights, and a flexible hybrid manufacturing model to not only meet—but anticipate—the evolving needs of a dynamic global market.

As we embark on this new chapter in the U.S., our commitment is unwavering: to empower our clients with smarter, faster, and more localized solutions that drive growth and resilience across the Americas.
