Connect Group has completed a strategic capability expansion at its Suzhou facility in China, introducing four advanced manufacturing technologies that strengthen the company's position as a technology-driven partner for complex electronics in Asia.

The investment brings full-nitrogen selective wave soldering, automated dry ice cleaning, high-precision press-fit assembly, and flying probe test technology to Connect Group China Suzhou (CGCS), establishing the site as a regional hub for advanced PCBA manufacturing while maintaining the unified quality standards that define Connect Group globally.

Four New Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

• Full-Nitrogen Selective Wave Soldering. The facility now offers dual-side through-hole technology (THT) assembly using selective wave soldering system—recognised as a superior alternative to robotic soldering for complex, high-reliability applications.
• Automated Dry Ice Cleaning. CGCS introduces environmentally responsible, zero-contamination cleaning for assemblies requiring the highest levels of cleanliness—particularly critical for automotive Tier 1 and precision sensor applications.
• High-Precision Press-Fit Assembly. The press-fit capability delivers real-time quality monitoring and full traceability for connector and pin insertion—essential for automotive-grade quality assurance.
• Flying Probe Test Technology. Scheduled for implementation in Q1 2026, the flying probe test system will provide fast, flexible testing capabilities for prototype and low-to-medium volume production runs—without the need for custom test fixtures.
