Business Analyst – CPQ Software

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst – CPQ Software to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into functional, scalable solutions within the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) domain. Over time, your scope will expand to include integration touchpoints with ERP systems, ensuring smooth data and process flow across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of commercial operations, system design, and enterprise architecture, and can confidently bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

1. Business Requirement Gathering

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Management, and other key departments.
• Capture, analyze, and document business requirements related to quoting, pricing and order management.
• Identify process pain points and improvement opportunities.

2. Solution Design & Specification

• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications.
• Ensure alignment with the CPQ product roadmap, enterprise architecture standards, and data governance policies.

3. Process Optimization

• Analyze current CPQ workflows and system configurations.
• Use data insights and user feedback to drive enhancements in system efficiency, usability, and accuracy.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with internal development teams and external vendors.
• Support the implementation, customization, and deployment of CPQ functionality.
• Ensure proposed solutions are technically viable and scalable.

5. Testing & Validation

• Define and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans.
• Support issue tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution processes.
• Facilitate business sign-off on tested solutions.

6. Training & User Support

• Develop and deliver user documentation and training materials.
• Conduct training sessions and provide post-go-live support to ensure successful system adoption.

7. End-to-End Process Analysis

• Document and assess integration points between CPQ and ERP systems (e.g., pricing sync, product and pricing master data).

• Identify potential risks and dependencies in cross-system processes.

   

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a CPQ or sales process environment.
• Understanding of ERP systems and integration principles is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Familiarity with CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ, or similar tools) is a plus
