Infrastructure Engineer

Connect Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Mid-Level). As an Infrastructure Engineer, you ensure a reliable, secure and high‑performing IT infrastructure that supports our production environment. You implement technical improvements, solve complex incidents, optimize performance and work closely with production and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly.

• Improve and maintain network and server infrastructure (Wi‑Fi upgrades, storage expansion, etc.).
• Resolve complex Tier‑2 incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Execute ITIL‑based change management and coordinate infrastructure updates.
• Monitor performance and capacity of servers, storage and networks.
• Securely integrate factory equipment and OT networks with corporate IT.

• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter.
• Hands‑on knowledge of enterprise storage (Pure Storage, HPE Nimble).
• Skilled in Veeam Backup & Replication (backup, restore, DR testing).
• Solid networking skills: Fortigate, Aruba or Meraki; VLANs, VPNs, segmentation.
• Experience with hybrid cloud (Azure, Microsoft 365, Hybrid AD).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as PRTG.
• Language skills: Strong command of Dutch and English (spoken and written) to collaborate effectively with local teams and global IT stakeholders

Nice to Have: ISO27001/NIS2 knowledge, DR/BCP experience, basic PowerShell scripting, understanding of MES/ERP application environments.
