About the Role

Join our team as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where you’ll ensure that incoming materials meet stringent quality standards, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develops and implements quality control instructions and incoming checklists for purchased parts according to the applicable standards, internal specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Ensures that the supplied materials comply with the applicable standards.
  • Acts as the main quality interface between Connect Group and its suppliers.
  • Supports the overall quality management system within the site through activities such as inspections, measurements and audits, with an emphasis on supplier and incoming control.

Complaint Resolution & Reporting

  • Manage supplier complaints, review and approve 8D reports, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Facilitates the recovery from the supplier of the cost associated with handling and/or sorting of the non-conforming parts supplied.
  • Manages non-conforming material in accordance with the supplier's decision, ensuring material cost recovery through replacement or credit note issuance.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Monitors and improve incoming inspection activities.
  • Prepares and presents supplier quality reports to management.
  • Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintains accurate records of supplier performance for evaluation purposes.
  • Supports supplier growth; initiate and support actively supplier development programs for improving quality. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering, procurement, production, and quality for supplier product approval.
  • Participates in the parts qualification process, check and validate supplier documentation (FAI, PPAP, etc.).
  • Communicate and collaborate with production for a correct set-up of resources planning (people, equipment, tools, documentation, training).

Team Coordination

  • Coordinates subordinate staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Represents the department in internal and external interactions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Technical degree (preferably Electronics, Electromechanics, or Engineering).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a quality department, preferably in supplier quality.
  • Skills: 
    • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools.
  • Languages: 
    • English – Fluent (written and spoken).
  • Nice to Have: 
    • Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
    • Knowledge of PPAP and FAI processes.
