Connect Group is proud to announce we are now UL508A certified, strengthening our position as a trusted partner for electrical cabinets, control systems, cables and wiring solutions for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
This certification represents a key milestone for customers developing systems for North America, ensuring their electrical assemblies meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and reliability.
What UL508A Certification Means for Your Project
UL508A certification delivers tangible benefits that directly impact project success in North America:
- Faster approvals and smoother commissioning – Local authorities (AHJs) recognize UL508A-certified systems, significantly reducing inspection time and accelerating project timelines.
- Fewer compliance issues – With certification in place, costly rework and delays caused by inspection failures or non-compliance findings are avoided.
- Enhanced system safety and reliability – Electrical cabinets and control systems meet the strictest safety standards, protecting both equipment and personnel.
- Simplified project planning – Predictable approvals enable confident schedule planning, knowing systems will pass inspection.
The certification covers electrical components and wiring methods, cabinet construction and grounding, short-circuit current ratings (SCCR), and full compliance with NEC and applicable NFPA regulations.
Your One-Stop-Shop Manufacturing Partner
UL508A certification further strengthens Connect Group's role as a one-stop-shop manufacturing partner, supporting customers throughout the full product lifecycle.
We combine certified compliance with a broad and integrated service portfolio:
- EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) – PCB assembly and manufacturing.
- Cables & Wire Systems – Cable assemblies, wire harnesses and interconnect solutions.
- Box Build & Industrial Cabinets – System integration, control systems and electrical cabinets.
- Technology & Engineering Services – Design and Development, Fast Prototyping, Production Services, and Testing.
By bringing electronics, cables, cabinets and engineering together, we help customers reduce supply chain complexity, ensure consistent quality and accelerate time to market.
Certified Capabilities You Can Rely On
Our two Cable and Wire Systems production locations in Kampenhout, Belgium, and Oradea, Romania, have achieved this certification, enabling us to manufacture UL508A-compliant electrical cabinets and control systems for North American customers.
Officially registered under UL File Number E548995, Connect Group is recognized by UL as an authorized manufacturer of compliant electrical cabinets and control systems.
This certification is supported by:
- Trained Manufacturing Technical Representatives (MTRs) – specialists certified by UL to oversee production processes and ensure every cabinet meets UL508A requirements
- Industrial Panel Inspector (IPI) certified team – ensuring panels are designed and built fully in line with UL508A standards
- Robust processes, documentation and inspections – aligned with UL standards
For customers, this provides confidence, reliability and predictable approval for projects in the U.S. and Canada.
North American Agility: Our Atlanta Facility Brings Manufacturing Closer
UL508A certification comes at a pivotal moment in Connect Group's North American expansion.
On June 4, 2025, we officially opened Connect Group USA Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia—our first major manufacturing presence in the United States. This facility brings assembly, manufacturing, module building and after-sales support closer to American customers.
More than just a location, our Atlanta presence reflects a clear commitment to bringing services closer to clients and supporting the growing demand for products made in America.
As we move toward full operational capacity in 2026, this combination of local presence and UL508A-certified capabilities enables faster turnarounds, stronger technical and after-sales support, and deeper, long-term partnerships built on working side by side.
Together, we are not only expanding our global footprint—we are strengthening the way we support customers across North America.
